- Is college credit received for continuing education courses?
- Both credit and noncredit courses are available. Credits obtained may be used as elective credit toward the requirements of a bachelor of fine arts degree.
- Where is CCAD located?
- CCAD’s 17-building campus occupies nine acres in downtown Columbus’s Discovery District, northwest of the I-71 and Broad Street intersection. CCAD is within walking distance to the Columbus Museum of Art and the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
- Is parking available on CCAD’s campus?
- Yes, parking is available in lighted lots adjacent to CCAD campus buildings.
Please refer to the CCAD campus map. Parking is free in designated CCAD lots on evenings and weekends.
- Are there entrance requirements to take Continuing Education courses?
- No, students enrolling in Continuing Education courses are considered non-degree-seeking and do not need to go through a formal admissions process.
- Can I participate in the Ohio Post Secondary Enrollment Options Program?
- If you are a high school junior or senior anticipating participation in Option A of the PSEOP program, please contact your high school counselor and then contact

- Can high school students take Continuing Education classes and workshops?
- High school juniors and seniors may take Continuing Education courses if they wish. However, it is strongly recommended that they first enroll in our programs for children and youth.
- What if I am interested in seeking my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree?
- New degree-seeking students must contact the Admissions Office at 614.222.3261.
- How do I develop a portfolio for admission to a degree program?
- We offer a portfolio development course, and have several drawing courses that are also good for developing a strong portfolio. If you have specific questions, please contact the CCAD Admissions Office at 614.222.3261 or visit www.ccad.edu.
- What if I don't see a course offered that I would like to take?
- Additional courses will be developed and offered in the future. If you have suggestions for courses please call the Continuing Education Office at 614.222.3248.
- Are the same courses offered every term?
- Course offerings do vary somewhat from term to term. However, our core courses are offered every term.
- Will I need to purchase supplies?
- Supplies required for each class vary. New art students may need to purchase both basic and specific supplies. Most experienced art students have accumulated basic supplies and may need only a few additional items. Instructors will give information about specific supplies needed prior to the first class. Supplies can be purchased at the supply store in Kinney Hall.
