Technology: campus resources

CCAD has over 340 academic computers on campus, both Macintosh and Windows systems, for students to use. Most are equipped for general-purpose art & design use, with the following cross-platform applications installed:

Adobe Creative Suite 3 Premium, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Acrobat Pro)
Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Standard, including Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash Professional
Microsoft Office 2004 (Mac) or Office XP (Windows), including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Corel Painter X (for digital painting and illustration) with pressure-sensitive Wacom drawing tablets.

There are also dedicated labs available for specialized use, with specialized software:

Apple Final Cut Studio 2 (video editing, motion graphics, sound design, and DVD authoring), Adobe After Effects and Premiere
2- and 3-D animation software, including Maya 7 Unlimited, modo, Mudbox, and Toonboom Harmony
AutoCAD, Graphite, Solidworks, and Form-Z for 2d drafting and 3d modeling

Computers are provided in small groupings for easy access to e-mail or internet access in a variety of locations around campus. Here are some locations where you will find more than two or three computers:
