Works by alumnus George Carruth are considered to be some of the most sought-after collector’s items in the US.

Renowned sculptor and Advertising & Graphic Design alumnus George Carruth (CCAD 1976) made a scheduled appearance at Waterville, Ohio’s Garden Smiles on April 16, 2011 to sign copies of his original pieces, greet fans and collectors, and meet with members of the media.

“Ever since the first artist signing back in 1992, we knew we wanted to continue this tradition,” said Deb Carruth, who is George’s wife and business partner. “Meeting fans face to face allows us to really get to know them, as well as get their feedback on the art pieces. We take the time to listen and talk to anyone who has something to say.”

Carruth’s works are considered to be some of the most sought-after collector’s items in the US. His works can be found in The National Cathedral in Washington D.C., on the White House Christmas tree, on Home and Garden Television, and in the Botanical Gardens.

Garden Smiles is the gift shop and gallery at Carruth Studio's, and is the only place to find the complete collection of his sculpted designs—more than 250 pieces. Garden Smiles is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. EST and Sundays from noon–5 pm. For more information, click here.
