Thanks for your interest in the 2020 MFA Thesis Exhibition. CCAD is committed to the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and other members of the community. Following the guidance of state and government officials, we have canceled the exhibition’s in-person presentation.
There will soon be home to a virtual presentation of our second-year MFA students’ work.
To be notified of when the website is populated with their work, please sign up for our exhibitions and events newsletter at this link.

This event is free and open to the public.
EXTRA EXTRA is an illustrative satirical installation, addressing modern consumption. In a nostalgic New York City news stand, magazines, newspapers, movie posters, cigarette packs, chips, and candies are displayed in a clustered parody of millennial US culture. Addressing the divide between the powerful and the powerless, EXTRA EXTRA uses humor to ask viewers to consider what we consume, why, and who controls us when we do. Illusion is critical to this work, both formally and conceptually; as the viewer moves closer to the work, reality changes provoking a far less humorous question: what is truth? And what is deception?
