CCAD Alumni Office presents: Lia Nalbantidou (Media Studies, 1991)
Columbus College of Art & Design grad Lia Nalbantidou (Media Studies, 1991) will discuss her career and body of work (photographs and photobooks) in an online conversation noon–1 p.m. (EDT) Thursday, April 22. Nalbantidou is an independent photographer and practicing artist born and now based in Thessaloniki, Greece. In addition to her personal practice, Nalbantidou also teaches at the School of Fine Arts – University of Western Macedonia in Florina, Greece and mentors young photographers. Her work has been exhibited in Greece, Europe, and North America, and is represented in private and public art collections and libraries around the world, including: EMST (Greek National Museum of Contemporary Art) in Athens and Thessaloniki Photography Museum, Greece; Architekturbild EV, Stuttgart, Germany; Photoireland Foundation Collection, Dublin, Ireland; Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Yale University; Weserburg Research Centre for Artists’ Books, Bremen, Germany; and the Gulbenkian Art Library, Lisbon, Portugal.
Nalbantidou's talk is open to CCAD alumni, students, faculty, and staff. Advance registration is required.
