On view Feb. 14 – 25, 2018

Breakfast on Mars Reception: Saturday, Feb. 17, 9 a.m. – noon

Studying at Columbus College of Art & Design is out of this world. No, really. Industrial Design students in CCAD’s Design Innovation and Culture class present an exhibition called CCAD on Mars: The Planet Next Door.

The exhibition will feature work by 14 CCAD students who created a juxtaposition between life on Earth as we know it and the potential of living on Mars through a series of visually immersive experiences.

To prepare for the exhibition, students worked with Nathan Carter, Simulations Manager with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, who was responsible for creating the simulation used in The Mars Generation on Netflix.

CCAD on Mars: The Planet Next Door will be on view Feb. 14 through Feb. 25 at CCAD’s Byers Gallery. A special reception called Breakfast on Mars will take place Saturday, Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
