Creative Summer Workshops
Creative Summer Workshops are weeklong hands-on courses at CCAD for students in grades 1-12 and are opportunities for students interested in art to develop their skills in a creative and mentoring environment. Students in younger grades can explore the hues and values of color, botanical art, paper toys, printmaking and more. Students in grades 5-8 can discover the foundations of drawing, painting, digital media, mini comics and flipbook animation. Students in grades 7-9 can dig deeper into animation, digital photography, fashion design, expressive drawing and stop-motion animation.
Serving as a base for students looking to go into art and design, classes for students in grades 10-12 allow students to explore alternative photography, digital portfolios, fashion design, public murals and more.
For each workshop, classes typically run Monday through Friday and span a half day, either from 9 a.m. to noon or 1:30 p. m. to 4:30 p.m.
Creative Summer Workshops cost $180, including tuition, registration and all materials.
