I am a multimedia artist who uses humor and irony as a way to explore the folly of society and its demands that we conform to pre-assigned roles. Through sculpture, installation, video, and self-portraits, I create spaces I call “alternate realities” that range from plush, touchable landscapes to an animated Sasquatch self-portrait featured in my video work. From soft, green fur to cold, smooth pink glass, my work is a smorgasbord of colors and textures within which I invite my viewer to question socially constructed roles such as gender.
