Visiting Artist: Roxy Paine
The artist Roxy Paine gives a talk at the Canzani Center to mark the opening of his exhibition Roxy Paine: Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor at Beeler Gallery. Paine is known for working with machines, fields, fungus and weeds, specimen cases, dendroids and, most recently, dioramas. His exhibition at Beeler Gallery includes room-sized sculptures that propose universal “habitats,” void of human figures.
Paine will talk at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Canzani Center Auditorium at Columbus College of Art & Design (60 Cleveland Ave.). The event is part of the Beeler Gallery Visiting Artists & Scholars Series and is free and open to the public.
