Wake … Sleep … Dream features the works of Carmel Buckley, Julia Christensen, Tracy Featherstone, Rachel Ferber, Manami Ishimura, Soo Sunny Park (Fine Arts, 1998), Sheilah Restack & Dani Restack, and Angela Sprunger. All are women artists working in higher education; apart from that common thread, the artists and their works were selected in part for what they don’t share in common: Each takes a distinctly different approach to material, and to the potential for materials to describe our world. Likewise, the show’s title, Wake … Sleep … Dream, represents the spectrum of consciousness, from the everyday to the fantastical.
