Liz Trapp received her MFA from CCAD, MA in Art History and BFA from Ohio University. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the History of Art & Visual Culture department where she teaches a variety of courses from survey art history to art history thesis in addition to collaborating with the department of Fine Arts in integrated studio and history courses. Her research includes contemporary art from the Middle East, and she has recently conducted research in Egypt as a recipient of the Shafik Gabr Foundation Fellowship. Trapp is also a painter and textile artist and has appeared in publications including New American Paintings. Additionally, Trapp regularly writes art reviews for the Columbus Underground.
