Maggie DiVito teaches writing and the arts, fairy tales, and mythology. At CCAD since 2006, DiVito started out her career as a substitute high school English teacher in Chicago, where she also taught non-credit art classes at a community college. DiVito was an English lecturer at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and has been published in The Greensboro Review. DiVito was assistant editor of the journal English Literature in Transition and was nominated for an Association of Writers and Writing Programs award. BFA in painting, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 1998; post baccalaureate in creative writing, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 1999; MFA in poetry, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, 2002.
