Robert Loss teaches fiction writing, contemporary literature, the literature of comics and graphic novels, and world literature. Loss' cultural criticism and other scholarly writing has appeared in The Comics JournalHeavy Feather Review, Ghettoblaster, The Comics Grid, and PopMatters, where he writes the bi-monthly column “Ties That Bind." He has published short fiction in Filigree and Mayday. In addition to presenting work at national conferences, he is the programming coordinator for CCAD’s Mix Comics Symposium.
