Franklinton gallery displays alum's decade-long artistic journey

Mixed-media artist Nikos Fyodor Rutkowski (CCAD 2002) can see significant change in his work as he looks back at the last 10 years.

"It is clear that attentions shift and interests change," Rutkowski said. "Time is the most powerful solvent of all, blurring some passages, erasing others completely."

The Fine Arts alum's creative journey is on display at Wood.Metal.Art, a furniture, art, and design workshop and retail gallery space in Franklinton.

"My guiding intent has been to explore the potential of abstraction through experimentation with materials and a keen focus on the interactions of color," Rutowski said.

His work is on display through Aug. 6 at Wood.Metal.Art, 1009 McKinley Ave., Columbus, OH, 43222.

Rutkowski is from Columbus, OH, and attended Bishop Watterson High School.
