Life at CCAD, Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) VP of Student Affairs Dwayne Todd

Dr. Dwayne Todd, Vice President for Student Affairs at CCAD, has been appointed Vice President for Student Engagement and Success at Ohio Wesleyan University.

“Dwayne has been an incredible leader and a fantastic asset to CCAD,” President Dr. Melanie Corn said. “I know this is a great opportunity for Dwayne, and I wish him all the best, but he will be truly missed.”

In his nearly 15 years at CCAD, Dr. Todd built a strong Student Affairs department that supports students’ satisfaction and success.

Originally from Dayton, Dr. Todd joined CCAD in 2001 and has overseen residence life, student involvement, counseling services, career services, multicultural affairs, academic advising, academic support services, disability services, campus dining services, student conduct processes, orientation and new student programs, campus safety and security and student insurance programs.

“It’s really hard to believe that my time at CCAD is coming to an end,” Dr. Todd said. “These past 15 years have been incredibly rewarding and full of laughter, friendships and learning. CCAD will always hold a very special place in my heart. I don’t know if I will ever fully leave this place, but I am very excited to begin my work at Ohio Wesleyan University where I will oversee a broader array of programs that serve students. I am excited for what CCAD’s future holds under Dr. Corn’s incredible leadership, and I will continue to cheer CCAD on from the sidelines!”

Dr. Todd’s last day will be in early June. Then, Dean of Students Chris Mundell will take over as Interim Vice President of Student Affairs.

“Chris is a thoughtful and compassionate Student Affairs professional,” Dr. Corn said. “Though we are sad to lose Dwayne, I am thrilled that Chris is willing and able to step up into the leadership position as interim Vice President. He will be a great addition to the Senior Cabinet.”

Dr. Corn will work with members of the senior leadership to determine next steps in the leadership transition.
