CCAD students created "Happy Vibes" card collection for American Greetings, aiming to spread joy with cheerful messages and designs.

Andrea Obradors Puerto (Master of Design, 2020) has a background in industrial design and product engineering and had been working for a furniture lighting company in her home country of Spain when she enrolled in a design management course.

Columbus College of Art & Design Fashion Design students recently paired up with central Ohio online retailer This One Dress to create a new design for the company’s customers.

Otherworld, an art installation in a former Sports Authority, features CCAD alum Scott Schaaf as Art Director. The immersive space, praised by major outlets, showcases works from 40+ artists.

On Wednesday, May 8, Columbus College of Art & Design’s campus will come alive with art, design, food, and activities as part of OhioHealth presents Chroma: Best of CCAD | The 140th Student Exhibition.

Rose White (Interior Design, 2019) was a voracious reader in high school and on one of the many afternoons she spent reading at the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s main branch, she came across a book, Brooklyn Interiors, that would inspire her career path into interior design.

After graduating from CCAD with a master’s degree, Wilson relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Tym Tyler lives on an old farm outside Granville, Ohio. His studio, formerly a chicken hatchery, is, fittingly, dedicated to two seemingly disparate worlds: painting and cycling. Since graduate school, Tyler has been a promoter—in his 20s and 30s, he promoted music concerts, professional cycling events, running events, and triathlons. As he got older, he honed his focus to fitness events (concert promotion is “a young man’s game,” he says).

A group of Columbus College of Art & Design students headed to Louisville Sept. 15–16 to compete against more than 150 collegiate and professional peers in “Hack the Home,” a Hackathon—that is, a marathon of innovation and creation—hosted by FirstBuild and sponsored by 3M, Renesas, Samtec, and US Steel.

30 CCAD seniors, juniors, and sophomores across three Industrial Design studio classes are tackling a new project to design new concepts for Craftsmen for Kids’ wooden toys.
