Bridget Tharp is an experienced fundraising professional who is deeply passionate about the power of design thinking and higher education. She has 12+ years of experience in fundraising and communications and holds a graduate certificate in nonprofit management. Her areas of expertise are donor cultivation and solicitation, board recruitment, volunteer and community engagement, public speaking, grant writing and communications.

Before joining CCAD in September 2021, she was a Major Gifts Manager at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. There, she was part of a team that built relationships with individual, corporate and foundation donors to feed neighbors in need. Her previous experience includes fundraising and writing roles for Boy Scouts of America, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Bowling Green State University and daily newspapers. Bridget earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Bowling Green State University.

Bridget is devoted to volunteerism in the community and recently became a foster parent. She has been recognized as part of Leadership Columbus and Columbus CEO magazine’s Future50 service learning programs. She was also previously a board member for CATCO Theater, the Weinland Park Community Civic Association and lends her public relations and fundraising skills to Royal Family Kids Camp. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Central Ohio.
