Celia C. Peters is a filmmaker and visual artist creating compelling stories about authentic characters. She’s a member of New York Women in Film & Television, the WGA-E and sits on the board of the Greater Columbus Film Commission (Film Columbus). Peters is also an adjunct instructor at Columbus College of Art and Design. In 2017, she completed post-production of her short sci-fi thriller Roxë15, which is currently being broadcast internationally on ShortsTV. In 2015, Peters’ feature-length script for Roxë15 was selected for CultivEight, a feature film development incubator sponsored by the NEA Art Works Program. In 2012, she was a writer-in-residence at Hawthornden International Retreat for Writers in Scotland. Her feature screenplays have been prize-winning and recognized in competition otherwise. Her work has screened in New York, Washington, D.C., Detroit and London. Peters’ work has been broadcast on public and cable television. She is also an acco mplished producer and curator of film and art events, at venues such as Afropunk, New York Comic Con, California African American Museum and Blockfort Columbus. Peters is an honors graduate of University Michigan with a B.A. in French and Political Science, and holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. As well, she has done graduate studies in clinical psychology at NYU. She is currently developing her science fiction feature film GODSPEED for production in 2019. www.artisticfreedomltd.com
