Jinyi Liu is an art historian, currently teaching history of design and illustration at CCAD. She obtained her MA in Visual Cultural Studies from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Art History from Ohio University. There, she received research grants for her thesis on public gardens in semi-colonial China. Her research interests include 19th-century illustrations, spatial urban history, and contemporary critical theory.
