John Donahue has taught several different psychology courses and has published research on advertising, journalism, storytelling, and graphic design. Donahue's most recent work is a co-authored chapter on false items in news stories from the book “Misinformation and Mass Audiences”. His contribution concerns the psychological factors that render it more likely journalists will inadvertently make mistakes, as well as research on the effects when journalists intentionally deceive their audiences. Donahue received a BA in psychology from Ohio State University and an MA in psychology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
