Julie Rae Powers, who receive her BFA from James Madison University and her MFA from The Ohio State University has worked in photography since 2006, developing a specialty in identity and documentary photography.
Julie Rae Powers has been an adjunct instructor at Columbus College of Art & Design since 2016 and has taught such classes as Intermediate Darkroom and Photographic Thought. Julie Rae currently teaches Photographic thought. Julie Rae’s professional recognition includes being collected by the Institute for Research on Women and Gender at the University of Michigan and is published in The Anthology of Appalachian Photographers.
