Lisa Belsky teaches Introduction to Contemporary Crafts. She received her MFA from Ohio State University and BFA from Tyler School of Art. Belsky has also taught at Capital University, Ohio State University and the McConnell Art Center. She is a ceramic artist who explores the intersection between clay and a variety of other craft materials and processes. When she’s not teaching, Belsky can be found covered in clay or untangling a ball of yarn in her studio.
Belsky has shown her artwork across the country in juried exhibitions, invitational exhibitions and craft shows including the Smithsonian Craft Show and the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, where she received the 2017 award for Excellence in Clay. Belsky was also recognized as one of Ceramics Monthly Magazine’s Emerging Artists of 2017 and was a co-recipient of the GCAC’s Individual Artist Fellowship Award in 2016. Belsky currently serves as a board member for the Ohio Craft Museum.
