Mike Compton teaches in graduate design studies with a focus on methods and models for innovation management and research. In addition to being a founder at Alloy Research and Strategy, a brand consultancy in Columbus, Ohio, Compton has more than 20 years of senior-level consulting experience in strategy, research, marketing, product innovation, and brand building for such recognizable brands as P&G, Kraft, Disney, Mattel, and many others. Compton is committed to a forward-looking design education that prepares students with disciplines for solving commercial and civic challenges from a human perspective. He has a BFA in Communication Design from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in New Projects from Columbus College of Art & Design. Compton regularly presents, publishes, and conducts workshops nationally and internationally.
