Illustration alumnus Joe Jobst's (CCAD 2001) most recent work is showcased in the video game Grand Theft Auto V, released Sept. 17 by Rockstar Games.
The game has been met with positive press and rave reviews about the game's expansive cityscape and detailed visual effects.
"GTA V is one of the more graphically impressive current-generation games," wrote reviewer Andrew Webster for The Verge, an online technology and art publication. "The game looks beautiful, with dynamic weather and detailed environments. It really feels like you’re driving around a digital version of modern day Los Angeles."
Jobst, the lead visual effects artist for Rockstar's New England studio, has more than 10 years of experience in the game industry. Other credits include Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption, and Bully Scholarship Edition.
Jobst resides in North Reading, MA, with his family and attended Bethel High School in Tipp City, OH.
