Take your career to the next level.

Whether you’re looking to grow your creative practice or advance your professional career, you’ve come to the right place. For nearly 145 years, CCAD has educated individuals ready to lead culture and commerce in Columbus and around the globe.

Our three graduate programs were created with your needs and timeline in mind. Our MFA in Visual Arts can be completed in two, three, or four years, and our MPS programs offer a two-year, part-time curriculum, with classes taught online in the evenings, fitting your life and location.

Read more about our master’s degree programs below, and for more information on any of our graduate studies offerings, fill out the form below or email [email protected].

Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts

Connect with fellow creatives from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds, work closely with CCAD faculty, and receive guidance from your own graduate advisory board as well as from visiting artists and scholars in our MFA program. Your independent studio practice will be supported by courses in history and theory, as well as art/design electives, and you can develop a teaching portfolio, too. As a terminal degree, our MFA will prepare you for a career as a working artist—and it qualifies you to be an instructor at the college or university level.

Master of Professional Studies in Retail Design

Gain a deeper understanding of how customers engage with brands and make purchase decisions, from e-commerce to brick and mortar, and use that understanding to design experiences that resonate. Our Retail Design curriculum includes the opportunity to design and lead your own real-life capstone project with industry support. You’ll graduate with the skills and professional network to take you to the next level.

Master of Professional Studies in User Experience (UX) Design

Learn how to identify problems—and develop creative solutions for them—in our MPS in UX Design program. Whether you’re looking to upskill or re-skill in your current industry, or cross-skill to a new career, you’ll graduate with stronger core business skills, a better understanding of the factors shaping individual and group behaviors, and improved understanding around research and design, gap analysis, project management, design thinking, and human interaction.
