Capture moments that move people.
We approach photography as ever-evolving technical, aesthetic, and conceptual frameworks within the cultural marketplace. As a Photography major at CCAD, you’ll dive into shooting, research, and presenting to refine your unique vision as you learn the craft and language of image-making. Working with faculty who practice professionally—along with the support of your peers in the Photography Collective—you’ll expand meaning-making to create effective, original works. Our multifaceted approaches provide you with access to professional gear and cutting-edge digital tools, as well as traditional techniques and historical processes, making our photography offerings uncommonly diverse. You’ll leave CCAD confident in your ideas and your chosen path, and with many options available to you.
Our photography graduates lead the field as commercial photographers, fine artists, educators, business owners, and more. CCAD photo alumni succeed in competitive MFA programs, including those at Yale University, University of New Mexico, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Rochester Institute of Technology, and many others.
