COLUMBUS, Ohio—Columbus College of Art & Design is using its 140-plus years of creative teaching and interdisciplinary, flexible thinking to create the next evolution of user experience (UX) design education: a master’s degree rooted in human-centered design.

Columbus College of Art & Design has published the second annual President’s Report, summarizing key information from the 2021–2022 academic year, as well as sharing plans for the college’s future.

During Fashion Week Columbus, designers—including several CCAD grads—showcased their work to media, fashion buyers, and central Ohio’s fashion community. And a current student, Jiaqi Yu (Fashion Design, 2023), continued the long tradition of CCAD Fashion Design students receiving a Fashion Week Columbus scholarship.

Columbus College of Art & Design’s origins can be traced back to a group of women who harnessed their passion for art and education to found the Columbus Art School in 1879. And now a pair of generous gifts from two philanthropists, Loann Crane and Alexis Jacobs, will transform the college’s future, building upon CCAD’s legacy as a place where students unleash their creative power...

CCAD is proud to stand in partnership alongside Zora's House and The Women's Fund of Central Ohio for the announcement of a collaborative effort to launch a design institute for women of color.

1,000 Miles Per Hour: a lens-based art exhibition exploring perspectives on space and time, opens at Beeler Gallery, Columbus College of Art & Design, Sept. 15. Free and open to the public.

Emily Ragland, an accomplished leader in college admissions, has been hired as Columbus College of Art & Design’s new vice president for enrollment management.

They may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound (let’s leave the Superman antics to the Man of Steel himself), but a group of CCAD students recently played superhero for some young artists in the making.

Some of Ratha Seng’s earliest memories are of women—family and friends, members of the Cambodian refugee community—preparing food and telling stories in the kitchen. Those memories are what ultimately promoted Seng to create and launch his own book, Tarsu Cookbook, for his Columbus College of Art & Design senior capstone project.

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) has launched Smokey’s Scouts, a forest-friendly mobile matching game for kids, teens, and adults, in an effort to increase fire safety awareness and wildfire prevention nationwide.

Prior to graduating from CCAD, Davila was one of 20 students nationwide selected for the Gotham EDU Film and Media Career Development Program for 2022.
