Project Bio
This project is a massive milestone of mine, I traveled to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Turkey for this project to do research. This project is inspired by my family history, specifically my great grandmother who survived through World War 2. Her stories are represented in my project only a few centuries back.

Walking the Danube takes place in 1815 in the Sanjak of Smederevo (present-day Central Serbia) The Maiden and her Brother escape an attack on their village, they are taken in by a kind shepherd who homes them until a repentful janissary warns the shepherd of another attack. The janissary promises to protect the young ones as they travel along the Danube to arrive at a safe land.

The project is compiled into a mini concept art book which is researched, written, and illustrated all by the artist.
