Lauren Mitro

I focus on exploration and process, responding fluidly to materials, architectural elements, and abstraction. I maintain an embodied relationship to my work as I form and sculpt. I create site-specific environments, dabble with narrative, and evoke curiosity and playfulness through various densities, layers, and applications. Trails reoccur throughout my work, as do architectural influence on space, defamiliarization of materials and objects, and working in a state of response.

Works: I Get By with a Little Help from my Friends, Thesis (Partially Realized), and Twelve Hour Time Change
