Fine Arts Major

When they're not so sure, you dive right in.

You’ll try your hand at anything: ceramics, glass, drawing, printmaking, painting, jewelry, sculpture. Our Fine Arts program is one of the most technically diverse majors at CCAD. It houses some of our most passionate, prolific and driven artists who are ready to critique each other honestly in an effort to produce the best work. The program includes intensive studio courses, liberal arts work and professional practices to develop a creative but useful methodology that's applicable to a wide array of careers upon graduation.

Daniel McEwen (2005, CCAD) founder of Seagull Bags

Daniel McKewen is the owner and founder of Seagull Bags, a custom courier bag company known for durability, design and custom embroidery. McKewen says there are two types of businesses in the courier bag space: major brands, which mass-produce, and one- or two-person “basement companies.” Seagull fits in between, big enough to produce at some volume, but still small enough to be flexible and individual.
