Our ESL instructors are dedicated to preparing English language learners to participate in the conversations and written communication of the studio classroom and creative workplace with an art- and design-focused language curriculum.
Department of English as a Second departmental learning outcomes:
- To advance English learner proficiency in academic English across all four language domains: speaking, writing, listening, and reading;
- To develop English learner’s ability to communicate about art and design in written assignments, in presentations, and at critiques;
- To foster a clear understanding of American academic ethics and research tools.
- To empower CCAD English learners to express their voice and personal and cultural perspective through their work and words in order to be a part of campus conversations.
