COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus College of Art & Design is pleased to announce that accomplished planner Miranda Kridler will be the college’s new Vice President for Planning & Operations (VPPO) who will manage the college’s strategic and campus planning efforts and oversee the operational areas of CCAD.

Kridler comes to CCAD from Ohio University, where she served as the Senior Planner with the University Planning office. Prior to joining the University Planning office, she worked as the Planning Director for the Athens County Regional Planning Commission.

“Miranda brings a breadth of experience in campus and strategic planning and a deep understanding of and experience in art and design education,” CCAD President Melanie Corn said. “Most importantly she joins the senior leadership team with a compassionate leadership style, a curious mind, and a collaborative spirit, and I’m thrilled to have her on board.”

She brings a love of creative problem-solving to her work leading space, site, and capital planning projects including multi-building space relocations with high campus impact. “I’m excited to join the leadership team and their dynamic work to support faculty and staff in their creative and educational pursuits,” said Kridler, who added, “Being on the CCAD campus took me back to my own arts education and reminded me how transformative and formative an arts education can be.”

As CCAD’s VPPO, Kridler will oversee Library & Information Technology, Operations (including Auxiliary Services & Events, Facilities & Studio Management, and Safety & Security), and campus planning. A member of the President’s Cabinet, the VPPO is responsible for promoting the highest standards of work, leading the institution in terms of administrative and operational effectiveness and efficiency, and working to meet CCAD’s Strategic Plan goals.

Kridler will start at CCAD on May 31, 2022.
