Fashion Design

You’ve got the eye for every detail.

In CCAD's Fashion Design program, we’ll teach you the hands-on, technical skills of design and construction so that you can make your style a reality. With a full palette of colors and fabrics, you’ll bring your individual vision to life in our naturally lit sewing labs. Your long hours and hard work will help your fashion dreams become reality on the runway during CCAD’s annual Senior Fashion Show. And, immersed in our diverse culture and in the progressive metropolitan city of Columbus (a fashion destination in its own right), you’ll build a unique story and connect with a community that can take your work to retail.

FACILITIES

You'll have access to:

  • Six large studios with sewing labs, a pattern and draping lab, a dye lab, a drawing lab, a computer lab with high-end software and a large fabric resource room
  • Professional dress forms in a large variety of sizes which include males, females, and children
  • Lectra Cad systems, Gerber PLM Production, and Gerber Accumark including a full size digitizing table

Notable alumni

In his career as a fashion designer, Bruno Grizzo has worked for Calvin Klein and Lanvin. He released his own label, Bruno Grizzo, in 2006, earning him two coveted Gen Art fashion awards. His career also includes illustration for companies such as Halston, Kate Spade, Coast and Ann Taylor. Grizzo’s work has been featured in Surface, Victor and Town & Country.

After working for La Senza, Express, RG Barry and Wardrobe Therapy, Genoveva Christoff started her own company, Genoveva Christoff. In 2012, Christoff was featured in the Diet Pepsi Style Studio show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York and was the first runner-up in the Adrianna Papell for E! Live from the Red Carpet design contest.
