Graphic Design major

Make a powerful impression on people and the world.

In the Graphic Design program, you’ll catapult yourself into an influential career, whether you work for yourself or with industry leaders. Here you'll learn to take risks, influence decision makers, and propel social movements through distinctive branding and design solutions.

You'll be engaged in the professional community via co-ops and internships at top design, advertising, and digital agencies. You’ll partner with companies and nonprofits ranging from iconic travel brand Airstream to Ohio's largest fireworks display (Red, White & BOOM!), and take part in events such as the American Advertising Federation sponsored event The Pitch, which focuses on social change projects. You’ll learn design thinking through the power of empathy, and get opportunities to tackle important issues, such as human trafficking.

Dive in with your fellow students and become part of the AdGraph Collective—a community brought together by a love of design. Create lasting relationships, eat lots of pizza, and be part of a thriving community at CCAD.

Our award-winning students make an impact in regional and national design competitions; our graduates impact the world. Columbus is a growing design hub whose agencies actively recruit CCAD alumni. Work as a graphic designer, art director, creative director, marketing strategist, copywriter, environmental designer, web designer/developer, brand manager, social media manager, interactive media director, or as a freelance design consultant.
