Wendy Gross Almasanu is a designer, creative director, entrepreneur, and educator with more than 25 years of experience in visual communications. As a faculty member at Columbus College of Art & Design, she teaches advertising and graphic design courses that emphasize strategic thinking, concept development, research-driven design, and real-world creative problem-solving.
She is President and Creative Director of Wendy Gross Design, Inc., where she leads the development of brand identities, packaging, environmental graphics, promotional campaigns, and experiential design. Her client portfolio includes Columbia University, Honeywell, the Office of President Bill Clinton, New York City Ballet, and Dylan’s Candy Bar.
Earlier in her career, Almasanu worked with renowned designer Milton Glaser in his Manhattan studio, contributing to branding, packaging, exhibition, typography, and advertising projects for national and international clients. She also helped develop and launch the first website for Parsons School of Design under the direction of Tim Gunn.
Almasanu is co-creator of the award-winning, patented Chalk of the Town®—an innovative line of interactive apparel and accessories. The products have been featured by national media outlets such as ABC News, The Today Show, People Magazine, and Good Housekeeping.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Graphic Design from the University of Connecticut and has completed additional professional studies at the School of Visual Arts and Parsons School of Design.
Beyond her professional practice, Almasanu has dedicated her design expertise to community and philanthropic initiatives throughout Central Ohio, earning community recognition and coverage in The Columbus Dispatch.
