Resources For Educators & Counselors

Your legacy inspires what's next.

Every great creative career begins with a teacher or counselor who recognized potential before the world did. At Columbus College of Art & Design, we're proud to partner with those who guide the next generation of artists, designers, and creative leaders. As one of the best art colleges in the nation, CCAD is more than a destination—it's a launchpad where talent is nurtured and where students gain access to transformative opportunities, including art and design scholarships that help make a world-class creative education possible.

Together with educators, artists, and cultural leaders, we're shaping the future of the creative economy through meaningful collaboration, exhibitions, events, and industry connections. Your legacy doesn't end in the classroom—it continues at CCAD, where the arts community comes together to connect, create, and launch the next generation of creative professionals who will influence culture, business, and the world.

INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

COLLEGE ART PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS

An art portfolio should showcase a student's creative skills and ideas. It can include anything a student has created, designed, built, or written. The contents are intentionally flexible, but each portfolio must include 8 to 15 pieces.

An art portfolio may include a broad range of work, from character design sheets and illustrations to music videos and sculptures. Technical skill is important, but the strongest portfolios also demonstrate concept, narrative, function, or other forms of creative thinking
