Andy Friz is an associate professor of Animation at Columbus College of Art & Design who maintains an active creative practice, including special effects work for the long-awaited Space Jam sequel, officially titled Space Jam: A New Legacy.

In fall 2020, CCAD Film & Video students transformed two scripts from the Film Columbus Teen Screenwriting Competition into short films for their Collaborative Projects course.

Fashion Design student Ryder Teach found his fit at CCAD, fueled by creativity and community. Scholarships supported his journey, leading to an internship and dream job at Abercrombie & Fitch. Now, he's aiming for celebrity wardrobe design. His unique, celestial-inspired collection shines at the 2021 CCAD Fashion Show.

Since 2013, CCAD has partnered with California-based E. & J. Gallo Winery to provide students with real-world experience in the classroom and connections that lead to career opportunities.

How can the arts help Veterans heal? Can sharing one’s story be transformative? These are some of the questions explored during the spring of 2020 through a creative learning project between Columbus College of Art & Design and the Veteran Arts Initiative of the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System.

Columbus College of Art & Design is taking on the “crunch culture” mindset plaguing the game industry with the launch of its Game Art & Design major in fall 2020 (pending accreditation).

Andrea Obradors Puerto (Master of Design, 2020) has a background in industrial design and product engineering and had been working for a furniture lighting company in her home country of Spain when she enrolled in a design management course.

CCAD's Advertising & Graphic Design students won 15 Gold and Silver ADDYs at the 2016 American Advertising Awards Columbus.
