Aaron Searles is an Industrial Designer with 20+ years of expertise in package design, product development, and visual design language. He is a Director of Brand & Design Language at Zukun Plan in Columbus, Ohio, where his responsibilities include devising strategies to inform new product designs and building guidelines that govern those strategies. Aaron currently teaches Package Design at CCAD, where he has been an active faculty member since 2000.

Aaron’s design portfolio includes bespoke and mass-produced works from various categories: glass packaging, food/drink/housewares, consumer and professional products, industrial products and equipment, and kinetic sculpture. During his career, Aaron has collaborated creatively with a wide range of clients: Anchor Hocking, Bormioli Rocco, Bridgestone, Children’s Hospital, City of Columbus, Dirt Devil, E&J Gallo, Eagle Claw, Emerson, Evenflo, Fisher-Price, Flambeau, Matthew Mohr Studios, Rheem, and Vertiv. He is currently listed on 10 U.S. patents.

Aaron earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design from CCAD. He continues to practice freelance design in addition to his roles as designer and instructor.
