James Andrew earned his Master of Arts in philosophy from the University of Toledo in 2014, writing his Master’s Thesis on the work of David Hume, logical positivism, and mathematical logicism. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the College of Charleston in 2011. He serves as an adjunct professor of philosophy at both CCAD and Columbus State Community College. His research interests focus on the history of philosophy and epistemological questions within the analytic tradition, notably the philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, and philosophy of science. Outside the classroom, he’s an avid soccer fan and still plays competitively, albeit recreationally!
Some of the courses he teaches are Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to Logic, Critical Thinking, Applied Ethics, and Contemporary Moral Problems.
