As the Associate Academic Advisor, Jane approaches students with a differentiated mindset to support the varying needs of each individual's goals for their time at CCAD and beyond. She received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Smith College and studied at Jacksonville University for graduate studies in marine biology. After a decade of teaching high school anatomy and biomedical science, her passion refocused on early career mentorship and development of real-world skills through formal programming. During this shift, she fostered her own creative practice branching off hard sciences and into the arts.
Jane is an abstract maximalist painter and mixed media artist who creates futuristic worlds through the dreaming of humanity's impact on evolution. She is an alumnus of the Emerging Artists program at the Columbus Arts Festival, and currently teaches workshops on intergenerational creativity and communication, intuitive painting, and community development at Milo Arts.
