Kyle Herrington is a curator and arts administrator with more than fifteen years of experience organizing exhibitions and developing public programs that champion emerging and mid-career artists, particularly those working within marginalized and underrepresented practices. His curatorial approach is collaborative and transdisciplinary, fostering meaningful connections between artists, audiences, and contemporary art.

Herrington holds significant experience serving the stakeholders and audiences of community arts organizations, most notably during his 11 years at the Indianapolis Art Center, where he served as the Curator and Director of Exhibitions and Events from 2014 – 2020. In 2023, he was Curator-in-Residence at the Fire Island Artist Residency, where he now serves on the Board of Directors. Most recently, Herrington has worked as an independent curator based in Philadelphia, collaborating with artists and institutions across the Midwest and beyond. His 2025 project, Crossroads: A Convening of Queer Midwest Curators, was supported by a Curatorial Advancement Grant from the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation.

Herrington has organized more than 100 exhibitions throughout his career and has worked with collections and institutions including the Kinsey Institute, the Hessel Museum of Art at Bard College, and the Institute for Studies on Latin American Art. He holds a BFA in Painting from Ball State University and an MA in Curatorial Studies from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College.
