Lauren Schaefer is a product strategy, design, and research leader with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations bring clarity to complex product decisions by aligning customer needs, business goals, and product strategy. She partners with cross-functional teams to reduce uncertainty, align stakeholders, and transform complex challenges into meaningful product experiences.
Throughout her career, Lauren has built and scaled research and design organizations, led cross-functional product initiatives, and coached designers and researchers to become more influential strategic partners. She has served on the UXPA International Board of Directors, founded the South Florida UX Meetup (SOFLUX), which she led for 14 years, and taught Human-Computer Interaction as an adjunct professor at Florida International University.
Lauren holds a Master's degree in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University. Her work is grounded in the belief that the best product decisions come from balancing customer understanding, business strategy, and thoughtful design. She is especially passionate about how human behavior, research, and design intersect to shape better products, stronger teams, and more thoughtful decision-making.
