Maggie DiVito has been an Adjunct at CCAD since 2006. She has an MFA in Poetry from UNC-G Writing Program (2002), worked as the Assistant Editor for Literature in Transition (2000-2002) for which she also provided artwork, and was a full-time Lecturer of English and Literature at UNC-G (2002-2004) before relocating to Ohio. She is from Chicago and has a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Painting and Drawing (1998) and Post-Baccs in Creative Writing, Art Therapy, and Studio Arts (SAIC 1999). During her time at SAIC, she received scholarships to study abroad in Italy and Ireland (1996/1998). She began teaching in Illinois as an English-Literature substitute at Immaculate Heart of Mary High School (Westchester, IL, 1995-2000) and as a Community Arts Instructor at Morton College (Cicero, IL, 1995-2000). At CCAD, she currently teaches in the LIBA: Writing, Literature, and Philosophy Department: Fairy Tales and Mythology (2007/2008-present). She has also taught Writing & the Arts, Women Writers, and Criticism of Art, Literature, and Film during her time at CCAD.
