Suzanne Westrick is a freelance textile, graphic, and product designer with more than 22 years of experience in the apparel and home markets. Her work includes surface design, print and pattern development, placed graphics, embroidery, color, and production-ready artwork. Throughout her career, she has created artwork for a wide range of product categories and has collaborated closely with design, merchandising, product development, technical design, and vendor teams to bring creative concepts through the production process.
Since 2016, Suzanne has taught Computer-Aided Fashion Design at Columbus College of Art & Design, where she helps students develop confidence in Adobe Illustrator, fashion flats, technical drawing, CAD skills, and the process of translating creative ideas into clear, professional design files. She enjoys creating a supportive classroom environment where students can experiment, build technical skills, and strengthen their own creative voice.
Suzanne earned a BS in Fashion Design from Drexel University and has also studied at Rhode Island School of Design and the School of Visual Arts. Her professional background gives students insight into the full design process, from trend research and concept development to artwork handoff, production, and vendor communication.
Outside of teaching and design, Suzanne lives in Clintonville with her husband and their two children. She loves spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking, gardening, lake life, and doting on her dog. She can also often be found working in the lab during the early-morning hours, experimenting with her own creative projects.
