Bill Hunt currently maintains an active studio practice and has exhibited his work in more than 100 regional, national, and international exhibitions. His ceramic art has been purchased by a variety of galleries and collectors nationally and internationally. He has conducted dozens of professional workshops nationally and internationally, juried and curated multiple exhibitions, including the seminal “21st Century Ceramics in the United States and Canada," and authored a long list of publications on craft and art subjects. Among other honors, Hunt was elected to lifetime memberships in both the International Academy of Ceramics (Geneva, Switzerland) and the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (USA). Additionally, he is Editor Emeritus of Ceramics Monthly magazine, having served for more than two decades there. He received a B.A. in fine art and philosophy at the College of Wooster and an MFA in sculpture and ceramic art from The Ohio State University. He is currently professor emeritus of fine arts and graduate studies at Columbus College of Art & Design (Ohio, USA), where he taught studio ceramics, glaze/clay chemistry, and ceramic art history.
