Gumroad App
Seeun Do
The Gumroad app design makes a new education sub-brand by breaking the tutorial section of the Gumroad website into smaller categories. The existing website has many different items, which made it hard to find what you were looking for, so this app was made to help users who are interested in tutorials find and explore content more easily. It includes tutorials from different fields and uses friendly characters and an easy-to-use interface to improve the user experience.

Gesture Sketches
Susana Antunes
In animation, understanding the shapes, forms, and volumes of the characters you're working with are an integral foundation to every animator. Cafe Sketch prepares us for this with these 30s-2min sketches of both animal and human figures. My process began with sketching out around 10-20 different poses and angles of a specific animal in pencil. Once I became comfortable with the shape and volume, I would advance my gestures into ink, really monopolizing my strokes to capture the essence and character of the gesture.

Trash Pandas
Lillian Watson
"Trash Pandas" is a piece created for the class 3D Making With Care in First Year Experience. The piece was to challenge students to concentrate on the layers that make up an environment (foreground, middle-ground, and background). This piece was inspired by a TikTok where someone recorded raccoons traveling across a telephone wire from house to house.

Incohorent Still Life
Ashley Chase
This artwork was made in the course "What Can a Drawing Do." The objective of the project was to study the silhouette of a nonsensical still life, draw its outline, then make it into a finished piece. This exercise not only shows how whitespace and abstract shapes can come together to form a non-objective composition, but also demonstrates how artistic choices —what is added or taken away— are what determine the unique mood of the work.
