Kisses of the Sun
Reiners’s Kisses of the Sun collection draws inspiration from a personal love of vintage clothing, old magazines, and 70s aesthetics, blending energetic colors, prints, and textures. She uses fabrics like chenille, ikat cotton, silk, jacquard, and leather, with unique designs like body-cast leather tops for both male and female models. Reiners’s design process emphasizes inclusivity and creating clothing that makes her models feel good. She hopes her collection will create smiles, bringing light into darkness during serious times. After moving from Tennessee, Reiners is focused on following her dream of creating a brand or designs that spread joy and confidence.

Animalized Digital Self-Portrait
Brianna Garman
An anthropomorphized self-portrait from Digital Illustration, during the spring of my sophomore year. It was an interesting exercise in exaggeration and digital painting techniques. I felt like an alligator would be an interesting animal to digitally paint, and this project allowed me to really play with interesting colors, which is one of my favorite parts of the artistic process.

Beauty is Pain
Ben Williams’ collection explores the tension between beauty and discomfort, drawing inspiration from the idea of skin falling away to reveal what lies beneath. Through sculptural forms and dramatic silhouettes, the work transforms a visceral concept into something both striking and elegant—demonstrating a deep commitment to craftsmanship and conceptual design.

CRY BOY CRY
Aspen Grazier’s collection examines high-femme identity as a powerful and transgressive force, challenging traditional perceptions of beauty and gender expression. Drawing from fashion history and subversive cultural references, the work celebrates visibility, resistance, and joy—encouraging individuals to take up space unapologetically.

The Promotion
Jane Steele
The Promotion was created during the second semester of my sophomore year, and was my first opportunity to make a longer animation entirely of my own design. I wanted to create an absurd satire of American work culture by sending a character on an increasingly strange and treacherous quest for a slight paycheck bump. I intentionally left a lot of details unexplained or intentionally misleading to add to the absurdity of the setting. The horror isn't all that he has to go through, it's the fact that he can't afford to give up.

Characters in Environment
Lee Sambas
This piece was created in my sophomore year for an assignment about historical narrative illustration. I chose to depict the famous tale of Emperor Ai of Han and his lover, "The Passion of the Cut Sleeve". The tale's relevance as a famous queer anecdote has stuck with me ever since I first read it, which is what moved me to illustrate it for this assignment. I focused primarily on the drapery throughout the scene, as well as populating the environment in a believable and visually engaging way.
