The 2022 CCAD Fashion Show relocates to Franklinton Arts District, hosted by Yohannan Terrell. Featuring diverse designs inspired by spirituality, witches, community, Japanese fashion, body positivity, heritage, nature, 1960s drama, and personal transformation.

Columbus College of Art & Design faculty are expert instructors who work hard in the classroom and out, logging time teaching and also remaining active in their creative pursuits.

CCAD celebrates artists with three events this March and April: MFA Thesis Exhibition (March 31–April 23, 2022), Spring Art Fair (April 9, 2022), and Saturday Morning Art Classes Final Exhibition (April 9).

Shorts (Industrial Design, 2006) is the founder/creator-in-chief of Columbus creative agency Artfluential; in addition, he founded the Maroon Arts Group (a collective promoting Black culture and art); has a newsletter, Shut Up and Create; and, with fellow alum—and CCAD Trustee Corey Favor (Illustration, 2003)—is co-founder of artist conference Creative Control Fest.

Hulu is dropping season three of its Black History Month series Your Attention Please in the first week of February 2022, and among those Black innovators featured this season is none other than Columbus College of Art & Design grad and children’s book illustrator Keturah Bobo (Fine Arts, 2006).

The most recent honors went to Maria Mendoza (Fashion Design, 2022) who was recognized for her work—designs influenced by her native Guatemala—at the fall Fashion Week Columbus.

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Humorous and charming, These Are Things pins, patches, and keychains are iconic reflections of contemporary culture. From endearing, happy images like a smiling sun and a giddy narwhal to ones that make a statement—a grinning Earth asking “please save me” and a celestial swirl reading “give me space”—at only one or two inches tall, these small works of art carry some big messages.
