Stephanie Kang is an art historian who specializes in new media art and theory. She received her MA in the History of Art from The Ohio State University and is currently working towards her PhD. Her current research engages with concepts related to queer theory, Post-Internet art, and utopian futures. Prior to her time in Columbus, she received her MFA in Visual Art from Washington University in St. Louis and her BFA in Studio Art from Calvin University.

As a writer and critic, she has written for publications and events, like Flash Art Online and FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art. She is also an artist, whose work has been exhibited at several institutions, including the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art, and the Athens Digital Arts Festival.
