COLUMBUS, Ohio—There’s a new way to shop for beautifully made, high-quality works of art and handmade goods. Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) is pleased to present the first-ever CCAD Alumni Art & Design Market taking place Friday, April 9–Sunday, April 11, 2021.

Born from the longtime-favorite CCAD Art Fair, the Alumni Art & Design Market provides a new opportunity to discover artists and designers who got their start at CCAD and in Columbus. The three-day event will be held exclusively online and will feature a handpicked selection of items by some of CCAD’s most accomplished and talented graduates. More than 30 artists and designers will participate, with many offering coupon codes and exclusive items released for this event.

“CCAD’s semiannual Art Fair has been a community favorite for decades, and while we plan to bring that event back when we are able to safely gather in person, we also saw this semester as an opportunity to pilot a new virtual event that exclusively highlights CCAD’s talented alumni,” said Chris Mundell, Vice President for Institutional Engagement. “The CCAD Alumni Art & Design Market serves as a platform for connecting shoppers with artists and designers from around the country who got their start at CCAD and whose work may not typically be available in Columbus. We hope those who attend connect with artists and designers they may have not otherwise known about.”

Some of the artists and designers featured include New York-based Sugandh Agrawal (Industrial Design, 2005) who runs GUNAS, America’s first 100% luxury vegan handbag brand, and San Francisco-based illustrator and designer Andrew Stattmiller (Illustration, 2005). Other alumni featured include Susana Madrid (Fashion Design, 2010), who launched her own made-in-Italy luxury shoe line and Columbus-based Evan Williams (Illustration, 2001) whose paintings are redefining caricatures.

The CCAD Alumni Art & Design Market is free and open to the public to attend. The online event begins at 5 p.m. (EDT) Friday, April 9 and ends at 11:59 p.m. (EDT) Sunday, April 11, 2021. Learn more at ccad.edu/alumnimarket.
